MARINA SQUARE
Marina Square shopping mall was established in Singapore during the late 1980s. Historically, it was a part of the first building complex which was built on the reclaimed land at Marina Centre, Back then it was the largest shopping mall in the country. The complex also housed three hotels and they are the Mandarin Oriental Singapore, the Marina Mandarin and the Pan Pacific Singapore.
In 2004, the mall went through major renovations and the overhaul was completed around the middle of 2006. The new structure has 65,000 square metres (700,000 square feet) of retail space which makes it one of Singapore's largest malls. On Jul 1 2010, the shopping mall opened a new connection called the Marina Link which allows the shoppers a direct access to Esplanade.

Shop, eat, play and relax is the mantra at the Marina Square. There are upmarket stores such as Zara, Mango, Topshop, Miss Selfridge as well as John Little, Muji, Crocs and many others. There are well over 300 shops in the Marina Square. The mall often organizes special privileges and promotions programs to attract local shoppers and tourists.
Marina Square is also a great place to have a meal. It has many variety of cafes and restaurants from the casual eateries to luxurious comfortable restaurants. For people who are always on the go, there are also fast-food restaurants, for example the Carl’s Jr. There is a Cineplex in the mall where there are comfortable cinemas operated by the Golden Village screening the latest movies in town. Ngee Ann City
Ngee Ann City is a commercial and civic project, the result of a collaboration between Ngee Ann Development Pte Ltd (NAD) and Orchard Square Development Corporation Pte Ltd (OSDC). The complex emphasizes the continuous philanthropic concern of Ngee Ann Kongsi in its efforts to work for the future of Singapore and the Teochew community.
