Gardens by the Bay - Rose Romance

Gardens by the Bay has brought in more than 40 varieties of roses from England and France. The latest flower display, Rose Romance is running now until 14 July.
There’s an idyllic European garden setting to enhance the romance of the roses. Other than the roses, there are also rose vines wrapped around the vintage arches and castles. Soak in the beauty of nature as you stroll through the rose garden.

Definitely an ideal place to bring your date because there are lots of beautiful ‘insta-worthy’ backdrops for your photos together. Especially the French-inspired trelliages which are the green ornate latticework structures and are also the highlight of the French architecture.
Roses are no doubt the world’s most recognised and popular flower, yet most of us know little about its rich legacy and centuries old heritages. If you love roses or botany in general, get ready to geek out at the floral display. Rose Romance has brought in a wide variety of roses, including the rare types and the hybrids. You can even find roses cultivated by renowned rose breeders Peter Beales, David Austin and Roseraie Ducher.

Boscobel
Boscobel, the coral-pink rosettes with a sweet fragrance bred by David Austin.

The Fairy
The Fairy, bred by Peter Beale, is a petite spreading rose.

Angèle Pernet
From the French rose nursery Roseraie Ducher, the Angèle Pernet is a fascinating two-tone hybrid tea rose you should definitely look out for at the display.

Holey Moley: Singapore’s First Mini Golf Club and Bar

Putt-ty time!

Finding a place where you can feast, drink and play? Look no further! Holey Moley is the first mini golf arena place in Singapore, situated at Clarke Quay. Originally from Brisbane Australia, Holey Moley is a great social place for large group of friends or even one-on-one date with its wacky vibes. Here are the details you will need if you are making your way down for a fantastic par-tee!
The space spreads over two storeys and features 27 holes, which consists of three courses and each with nine holes. Prices vary depending on the day of the week and the time you are visiting. It starts with just $12 for one course (9 holes) and goes up to $50 for 27 holes. You and your peeps need to sign up for at least one course, and the good news iisthats there are promotions and offers occasionally.

Here comes the fun part: Each hole pays homage to a range of pop culture references - from TV shows like Game of Thrones and The Simpsons to classic childhood films like E.T., Back To The Future and Jaws. There's also a nod to nostalgic games like Monopoly and Pac Man. To add in some local flavours, the putting hole ‘Upside Down’ is a hawker centre dinner set-up with a literal twist. Surely it has to be completed with tissues to ‘chope’! So don’t forget to look up folks!

Play on more holes and you'll also discover a model of Marina Bay Sands being attacked by Godzilla.
The set-ups here are meant to be a massive photobooth where being goofy with your friends is almost mandatory. So don't be embarrassed to take out your camera and snap a few photos for the “likes”.

Let’s pretend mini golfing is cardio and we will need to stuff ourselves with some delicious bar bites. You can expect yourself to indulge in 1m long pizza, burgers in neon color and even the three-pound monster burger which is meant for sharing (or not). There’s also a live DJ in case you fancy busting a move or a tune.
