After listening to the sharing session of China baijiu, everyone was eager to taste the 3 different brands of baijiu. Of course, we taught the guests the 5 steps of baijiu tasting - Calm, Look, Smell, Taste, Reflect. The guests were amazed to appreciate China baijiu in this way! They were chatting with each other about how they felt and what they have learnt from the tasting session. Kudos to Singapore China Baijiu!
Everyone raised their crystal clear baijiu glass and watched how the alcohol trinkled down its side like a teardrop. Based on the 5 steps of baijiu tasting, the audience slowly went through the steps of baijiu tasting. Ms Zhao Yanni has been working hard for the public welfare since the day she joined the Lions Club. This year, 2019, she was officially elected as the President of Singapore Lions Club Cherish. The 20th Meeting of the Singapore-Sichuan Trade and Investment Committee
[The 20th Meeting of the Singapore-Sichuan Trade and Investment Committee] was held in Singapore on 4th September 2019. Enterprise Singapore, Sichuan Economic Cooperation Bureau and Chengdu High-tech Zone Management Committee signed an MOU to collaborate on pursuing new opportunities and establishments such as Sichuan Innovation Centre, Xinchuan enterprises and Singapore Innovation Centre. Mr Li Yunze, Sichuan Vice Governor (Fig 1, left) and Mr Ng Chee Meng, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office were toasting each other with a special cocktail created from the Sichuan baijiu which is well known around the world - Wuliangye.

During a dinner reception Wuliangye set up the Baijiu Cocktail Bar and the champion of the Sweet Aroma @ Lion City 2nd Annual China Baijiu Cocktail Competition 2019 - Mr Haran, presented his winning Wuliangye cocktail - Asam-jiu.
At dinner reception, there were exquisite Wuliangye bottles being displayed for the guests to appreciate the beauty of the renowned Wuliangye, the elegance of its appearance matches up to its rich aromatic flavour.

“Global culture, Fragrant Moutai, ‘Go” up the game" [The 2nd Annual Singapore Moutai Go Tournament] has successfully ended. ๐ช๐ผ Being a China Baijiu company, we would do our best to promote the thousand years history of Go in the Chinese culture. With the assistance of the Singapore Go Association, we had got 32 Singapore Go players in the finals after 3 months of preliminary rounds. The tournament lasted for the whole day and we finally had the best names in this year’s Go tournament! ๐

“Global culture, Fragrant Moutai,, ‘Go’ up the game” [The 2nd Annual Singapore Moutai Go Tournament] Mr Charles Oon - the Chairman of Singapore China Baijiu Association and the Managing Director of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd, Dr Huang Shangzhe - Permanent Honorary President of Singapore Go Association, Dr Tang Xiaosong - the Vice President of Singapore Go Association and Mr Yang Jinhua - the Head Coach of Singapore Go Association had attended the opening and closing ceremonies respectively. Dr Xi Hongwei - the member of Singapore Go Association council presided throughout the tournament’s referee group. All the 32 finalists were either top Go players or Go coaches in Singapore. This year’s tournament was not only the chance to evaluate the higher standard of the game, it also provided the chance to learn from one another. Congratulations to the top 8 winners! We interviewed the champion after the tournament and he mentioned that the best part of Go was about making more friends while doing what you like!

Within a few minutes, the room was effused with the aroma of Moutai baijiu. The players all displayed a deep interest in Moutai baijiu and asked a lot of questions to learn more about it. Our colleagues patiently answered all their questions and many of them said that this event was very meaningful for them as they got to learn a valuable lesson about China baijiu.

We were fortunate to have invited the former Singapore MP, the Vice Chairman and Chief Independent Director of CAO (Singapore) - Dr. Wang Jiayuan (Figure 1 right), the President of Singapore Kwangtung Hui Kuan - Mr He Guocai (Figure 2 right), the representative of Singapore Jiangsu Association - Mr Zhou Zhaocheng (Fig. 3 right), the General Manager of Jinshiyuan - Mr Zhang Xuegui (Fig. 4 left) and distinguished guests of Singapore China Baijiu Association to have come together and celebrate this extraordinary day with us - Singapore's National Day and World White Wine Day that belongs to our baijiu fans!

[Singapore's 54th National Day and World Baijiu Day Dinner] has also set up on our recent popular “Baijiu cocktail bar” as the cocktail reception before dinner! We prepared three different kinds of Baijiu cocktails which were specially created using Kweichow Moutai, Sichuan Wuliangye and Sichuan National Cellar 1573. The Baijiu cocktails contained a tinge of natural fruity taste which blended very well with the aroma of baijiu. It was nice to see our guests mingling around with our baijiu cocktail in their hands! ๐ธ ๐ธ ๐ธ
[Singapore's 54th National Day and World Baijiu Day Dinner] was held at The Pavilion! The evening banquet hall was beautifully decorated with a tone of warm red and luxurious gold and also with China Baijiu as well as Moutai lanterns as decorations. Together with our unique screen design, we wanted the guests to feel the nostalgia while having China baijiu!
It was full house on that night! After a warm welcome of our Guest of Honour Dr Wang Jiayuan, the former Singapore MP and the Vice Chairman and Chief Independent Director of CAO (Singapore), the dinner was officially started by the emcee ZhanBo. ๐
We have specially prepared an annual event sum-up video of Singapore China Baijiu Ptd Ltd from 2018 to 2019 and also a special video of Singapore's 54th National Day. The video included the 3 China Baijiu brands that we are distributing - Kweichow Moutai, Sichuan Wuliangye and Sichuan National Cellar 1573. It also showed all the events we have done in one year. Baijiu Cocktail Bar and the Baijiu Tasting session were our recent very popular events.
The Guest of Honour Dr. Wang Jiayuan started the night by delivering a speech, followed by the Managing Director of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd. - Mr.Charles Oon for welcoming the guests. We also had Mr. Gareth Goh, the General Secretary of Singapore International Lions Club, presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to Mr.Charles Oon.
Here come the performances! While the guests were enjoying their dinner, we had arranged 5 different performances including Malay dance, saxophone, Chinese dance, Indian dance, Chinese drum and belly dance. The belly dance performance spiced up the whole atmosphere with the guest interaction segment. Last but not least, we also had the singer Huang Zuxiang who sang a few National day’s related songs such as Kopi-O and ‘Xiao Ren Wu’. The champion of our last year Moutai Cup singing competition, Cheng Xiaogang (Fig. 9) also sang a few songs to end the dinner on a good note.
Who doesn’t love good alcohol! One of the things that our Baijiu fans most anticipated about was definitely the China Baijiu! As the bottle cap was opened, the crystal clear white spirits flowed down the wine glass and bottoms up! Just look at the happy faces in the photos, you know how much they have enjoyed China baijiu.

What’s a celebration dinner without a lucky draw? Congratulations to all the lucky draw winners! Especially our guests from Geylang East Old Folks Home, they won two of the lucky draw prizes and one of them being the National Cellar 1573 hamper. The top prize of Kweichow Moutai hamper was won by our Singapore Moutai Specialty shop’s Manager. Coincidentally, the winning lucky draw ticket number was the same as his birthday! I guess this was what they called “fate”! ๐

On August 25th, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd held “The 2019 2nd Singapore Moutai Black and White Wisdom Go Competition”. Go originated in China and the earliest recorded was in the Spring and Autumn Period (771 to 476 BC) . As a China baijiu (white spirits) company, it was incumbent upon us to promote the thousands years history of Go culture. With the assistance of the Singapore Go Association, we had gotten 32 Singapore Go players after three months of preliminary and semi-final competitions. We welcomed everyone to come and watched the final game!

The 16th Chinatown Business Association Ghost Festival dinner was held last Friday! The guest of honor was Dr. Lily Neo (fig 1, center), a Member of Parliament for Jalan Besar Group Representation Constituency and she is also the consultant for the Chinatown Business Association. We were also honored to have met Mr Kelvin (fig 2, right), a director from Urban Redevelopment Authority.
Although Moutai is in severe shortage globally, on this special occasion the Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd was still able to sponsor a bottle of year 2016 Moutai and a bottle of year 2019 for the auction. The host enthusiastically auctioned the two bottles of Moutai as the premium alcohol and everyone was so hyped up! The final deal was at SGD1299 (RMB ¥ 6624) for year 2016 Moutai and SGD1099 (RMB ¥ 5604) for year 2019 Moutai!

The World Baijiu Day! Our China baijiu became the highlight of the night!
The World Baijiu (white spirits) Day came about in the year of 2015 by an Australian blogger, Jim Boyce. The pronunciation of 89 in Mandarin sounds like white spirits (bai-jiu) thus the date was set on August 9th. Since then, it has been a good five years. In this wonderful August, we are going to celebrate The World Baijiu Day with Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd! Last Friday night, our partner The Dragon Chamber celebrated The 5th World White Spirits (baijiu) Day with the China baijiu (white spirits) we had provided. Our China baijiu became the highlight of the night! Whether you choose to chuck it down or slowly savor in a cocktail, we saw happy faces everywhere as long as they have our China baijiu in their hands. Last night, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd together with Singapore Chinese Chess Association President - Mr. Lin Guanhao (FIgure 1, the forth from left), Singapore's former Senior Minister at the Ministry of Education - Mr. Chan Soo Sen (Figure 1, middle) and our Moutai fans had a celebration dinner for Singapore’s 54th National Day in the name of our favourite “Moutai”. The night was filled with joy and laughter where the table was discussing the beauty of Chinese culture under such a comfortable dining environment and drinking Moutai baijiu with the delicious food that was served. We would like to thank all the guests who had attended the dinner last night and hope everyone had as much fun as we do!

Our partner's Baijiu glass display cabinet turned into a new look once it was filled with Kweichow Moutai, Sichuan Wuliangye and Sichuan Guojiao 1573. Cute Miao girls, pandas and Sichuan opera faced dolls embellished the cabinets, showing the local culture of Sichuan. The stylish Baijiu glass display cabinet was definitely the perfect decoration for clubs, Chinese restaurants and hot pot restaurants!
Lion City 2nd Annual China Baijiu Cocktail Competition Finals Review
The best Moutai cocktail was done by Kumar: Eastern Immersion was made from Moutai and apricot brandy, fresh orange juice, coconut sugar and Prosecco sparkling wine. The salty and sweet taste was matched with the unique aroma of Moutai.
The best Wuliangye cocktail was done by Haran: Asam-jiu was made from Wuliangye and tamarind with apple cider vinegar. The seasoning was marinated pineapple. The sourness of the homemade tamarind juice matches with Wuliangye perfectly!
The Best Guojiao 1573 Cocktail was done by Dee: The Parting Gift was made from Guojiao 1573 added with grapefruit syrup, pear fragrant green tea, black cherry wine and sparkling water. Elegant and refreshing taste with tiny bubbles, especially for the fragrance of the Guojiao 1573!
Lion City 2nd Annual China Baijiu Cocktail Competition Finals was held at the Orchard Central@Sky Bar
On July 28th, the 2019 Lion City 2nd Annual China Baijiu Cocktail Competition Finals was held at the Orchard Central@Sky Bar. We invited the MD of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd. - Mr.Charles Oon, Vice President of the Association of Bartenders and Sommeliers (Singapore) - Mr. Steven Cheng and lastly Mr. Isz, the runner-up in the 2018 Lions City China Baijiu Cocktail Competition; to be the judges for the competition. The four finalists and the support from their friends and families electrified the atmosphere to the highest point!
The four finalists were Haran (Figure 1 & 2) Kumar (Figures 3 & 4) Khai (Figures 5 & 6) and Dee (Figures 7 & 8). Each contestant added their own life stories to their work. Haran used Indian Spices in cocktails and the younger Kumar created bright, bold and trendy cocktails. Khai used to be a barista and he made cold-brewed coffee as a seasoning, while Dee added his childhood memories, beancurd, to Wuliangye Cocktail. The innovative ideas and amazing skills from each one of them have impressed the judges.
The sky darkened as the competition progressed. The cheering of the guests last throughout the competition, only to show the participants the greatest support! The three judges tasted each cocktail carefully and watched the 12 glasses of Moutai, Wuliangye, Guojiao 1573 creative Baijiu Cocktails being prepared. We saw the fusion of multiculturalism and the renewal of the times! China Baijiu have shown unlimited possibilities!

The ‘Lions Club Singapore Joint Inauguration Ceremony of the members of the Cabinet and Individual Club Presidents’ was held at the Shangri-La Hotel last Friday. Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd would like to thank the Lions Club Singapore for the invitation and the privilege to offer China baijiu (white spirits) to the VIP guests on that night. In addition, our exclusive ‘China Baijiu Cocktail Bar’ was specially set up to serve the guests before the banquet dinner. The guests were enjoying our China baijiu while watching the performances on stage, ending the night of the grand Joint Inauguration Ceremony on a perfect note.
This year's “Lions Club Singapore Joint Inauguration Ceremony of the members of the Cabinet and Individual Club Presidents” had invited Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd to showcase our exclusive ‘China Baijiu Cocktail Bar’ and served the guests at the reception before the banquet dinner. In the short span of two hours, we had attracted a massive crowd and our bartenders were kept busy throughout the reception duration! A lot of the guests who have tried our China baijiu cocktail gave compliments as they really liked it. This gives us the motivation to work harder to promote China baijiu and its unique culture!

It was a new experience for many of them to have tried China baijiu in a cocktail and a lot of interests were shown. We are delighted that we have managed to showcase China baijiu cocktail to the guests.

2019 1st Racial Harmony Day “Chan Soo Sen Cup” Xiang Qi Tournament has ended on a perfect note! It was a wonderful event of cultural integration, a constant inheritance of our Chinese traditional culture. The perfect combination of Chinese quintessence - Chinese chess and China baijiu!
