It has been a year since the last Overseas Distributors Convention and we have all witnessed the flourishing development of Moutai baijiu in the overseas markets. We were honoured to have the opportunity to chat with Mr. Li over Moutai baijiu.

It was good to see familiar faces from all around the world coming together for the yearly Overseas Distributors Convention! Moutai baijiu can be found in many countries now, the reason why its overseas markets can be so successful is none other than the support of the leaders at Moutai organization.. [2019 Singapore Qingdao Festival] successfully concluded last week. Mr. Charles Oon together with Mr. Wu Duosen - the President of Singapore Hainan Business Club, Mr. Chan Soo Sen - Singapore's former Senior Minister at the Ministry of Education and also a former Minister of State as well as Mr. Ho Kwok Choi - the President of Kwangtung Hui Kuan, had visited the Qingdao Special Commodities Exhibition hosted by Qingdao People’s Government and the Enterprise Singapore. [2019 Moutai Halloween Night] had successfully ended! Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd together with Blue Pier Restaurant hosted the “2019 Moutai Halloween Night” which had attracted more than 100 guests. The festive atmosphere was deeply immersed in the party. We were delighted to be able to have joined Blue Pier Restaurant for hosting this event. The fragrant China Moutai baijiu from Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and the delicious food from Blue Pier Restaurant, were the reasons every guest clearly had an unforgettable Halloween this year!

To set off the Halloween atmosphere, all the guests specially dressed up for the night. The “Evil” Snow White, Vampire, Clown, Witch and many other characters. Indulge in the Halloween night with all the different characters!

“When East meets West” - it was the perfect representative with China Moutai baijiu, the traditional Chinese alcoholic drink and Halloween, one of western cultures. This surely gave Moutai a different charm. With a glass of Moutai, any Halloween monsters will not dare to go near you! Let’s get high together on this Halloween!

[The 1st Qianxi Charity Singing Contest Finals] was a huge success!

[The 1st Qianxi Charity Singing Contest Finals]. The Executive Chairman of Singapore People’s Association and once served as the Chief of Staff in the Army - Mr. Chen Guo Ming (Fig. 1 left), Chairman of Singapore Enterprise Corporation - Mr. You Dixiang (Fig. 2 left) and President of Singapore Kwangtung Hui Kuan - Mr. He Guocai (Fig. 3 left) and together with Mr. Charles Oon attended the event to support the development of Chinese culture in Singapore.

[The 1st Qianxi Charity Singing Contest Finals] was a huge success!

Other than the different teams helping out for the charity dinner, they had also invited professional singers and judges! They invited Mr. Chen Jianbing (Fig. 9), a very famous Singaporean artist, to be thehost for the singing contest.

Room filled with masters! Singapore really has a lot of talented people, the singers who entered into the finals were all skillful. Not just the singing skills, the singers also sang with their emotions. We wish all of them the best in their future endeavors.

Mr. Charles Oon received a trophy of appreciation to commemorate the effort of promoting Chinese culture and doing charity in Singapore. We would like to congratulate Mr. Chen Risheng (Fig. 7 second left) to win the championship title with the song ‘Wandering’ (流浪记). Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd gave out 3 China baijiu hampers to three lucky guests for the night.

National Cellar 1573 Baijiu Cocktail 🍸 Many guests were surrounding our Baijiu Cocktail bar, tasting the unique flavour of China baijiu cocktails! The China baijiu hampers adorned the stage and looked very attractive!

Singapore Huayuan Association 18th Anniversary Celebration and the 3rd "New Immigrant Outstanding Contribution Award" Ceremony

[Singapore Huayuan Association 18th Anniversary Celebration and the 3rd "New Immigrant Outstanding Contribution Award" Ceremony] Mr. Wang Quancheng (Fig. 1 left), the President of Huayuan Club, led the largest and non-profitable organization of the new generation of immigrants in Singapore. Congratulations on the 18th anniversary of Huayuan Association! At the ceremony, Mr. Charles Oon also met with the President of Singapore Kwangtung Hui Kuan - Mr. He Guocai (Fig. 2) and met some new friends, Mr. Li Xiujin (Fig. 3 left) - the General Manager of Singapore Thien Chee Society and Board of Directors of Singapore Kwangtung Hui Kuan. Everyone had a great time mingling with their friends while enjoying all the amazing performances!

The Second Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Honorary Consultant of Huayuan Association - Mr. Chee Hong Tat (Fig 1, 2 and 3 left) was the guest of honor of the night. Mr. Charles Oon had the opportunity to share and discuss with Mr. Chee Hong Tat on the topics about the integration of new Chinese immigrants into Singapore society.

✨Wuliangye 2019 “Lion City 2nd Xiangqi Tournament”✨ ended successfully.

✨ Wuliangye 2019 “Lion City 2nd Xiangqi Tournament” ✨ ended successfully. The prestigious Wuliangye complementing the Chinese chess was definitely a perfect match! This tournament was to promote & raised public awareness to the wide range of Chinese cultures and we will plan more of such events in the future and give back to the community.

The tournament lasted for the whole day with a total of 7 rounds and finally the best Chinese chess player has emerged.

To show our appreciation for Mr. Lin Guanhao, the President of Singapore Xiangqi General Association, our Managing Director - Mr. Charles Oon presented a Certificate of Appreciation and a calligraphy art piece to Mr. Lin. (Fig. 1 & 2) Congratulations to the top 8 winners! Chinese chess is a board game that everyone can play regardless of age. Let’s all look forward to our future chess competitions!

China Baijiu Tasting Session. After a full day of stressful competition, we offered the adult players Wuliangye baijiu to sip & taste, right after the award ceremony! Everyone held up their glasses and gave a toast, many of them couldn’t stop praising Wuliangye's special aroma and smooth taste. The senior adult chess players even had more than a glass, chatting happily among themselves.

Inauguration Ceremony of Singapore Kwangtung Hui Kuan’s 37th Board of Director

On Saturday 19th October, the VIP guest of the ceremony - the current Minister of Trade and Industry of Singapore, the Minister of Public Service of Singapore, the Second Assistant Secretary of the Singapore People's Action Party and the Consultant of Singapore Kwangtung Hui Kuan - Mr. Chan Chun Sing (Fig 1, 2 and Fig 3 right) issued one of the "Honorary President of Kwangtung Hui Kuan" titles to Mr. Charles Oon.

We would like to thank the President of Kwangtung Hui Kuan - Mr. Ho Kwok Choi for putting in the trust in Mr. Charles Oon to be one of the “Honorary President of Kwangtung Hui Kuan”. Mr. Ho is not just a successful entrepreneur, he is also an enthusiastic social activist. We hope that we can work together to make Singapore Kwangtung Hui Kuan better.

The current Minister of State of Singapore, Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Minister of Manpower of Singapore - Mr. Sam Tan (Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 3 left) attended the ceremony and Mr. Charles felt honored to have met Mr. Sam Tan.

At the ceremony, we were honored to have met with the Consul General of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore - Counselor Qiu Yuanxing (Fig. 1 & 2). Figure 3 shows Mr. You Dixiang giving his appreciation speech to the guest.

[2019 Gansu-Jiangsu Cultural Exchange Tour] 🎉 Day 7 🎉

We visited Jiangsu Yanghe Brewery at their Cultural Tourism Zone featuring the historic millennium liquor town. The most impressive has got to be the century-old underground baijiu cellar, which originated since the Ming and Qing dynasties, you can even smell the fragrance from this ancient baijiu! Thanks to Jiangsu Yanghe Company International Trading Dept - Mr. Hu Bing for giving us a tour around the famous spots.

We arrived at the luxurious Huaiyang Cuisine Cultural Museum to have a taste of the famous Huaiyang cuisine. Thanks to Mr. Wang Jinlei from Guolian Group for being such a great host and brought us around the city. He also arranged professional Guzheng musicians from Shanghai, as well as singers and dancers for the performance. Pingqiao Tofu was the highlight dish of the night as it was a national banquet dish back in Qianlong Palace. We had the privilege to try the dish all thanks to Mr. Wang and with this, our trip was concluded perfectly with food and baijiu.

[2019 Gansu-Jiangsu Cultural Exchange Tour] 🎉 Day 7 🎉

Our Singapore China baijiu fans finally got the chance to meet Mr. Wang from Guolian Group and Mr. Zhang from Jiangsu King’s Luck Brewery Co Ltd. and visited the King’s Luck Brewery Distillery. The fully automated distillery helps to maintain the highest quality of white spirits from King’s Luck distillery. They have created a baijiu museum that looks like a science museum, which was a very creative marketing strategy! At the same time, it still retains the ancient hand-made brewing workshop, allowing the China culture to continue!

We had the honor to join the meeting with Mr. Hu Zongwu, the Deputy General Manager of King’s Luck Brewery Co Ltd. and Mr. Zhang to discuss and exchange ideas of China and Singapore liquor market. During lunchtime, we tried the famous ‘Guoyuan’ baijiu (white spirits). We believe with such premium baijiu and strong brand image, King’s Luck Brewery Co Ltd. will definitely have a very good development.

We have left unforgettable memories in Jiangsu! [2019 Gansu-Jiangsu Cultural Exchange Tour] 🎉 Day 6 🎉

Flying across China! We took a flight from Dunhuang city to Xining city, witnessed the Snow Mountain and then transferred to Huai’an airport. We would like to thank Mr. Wang from Guolian Group and Mr. Zhang from Jiangsu King's Luck Brewery Co Ltd. for giving us a luxurious pick-up from the airport. Thank you guys so much for your hospitality, we had a lot of joyful memories!

[2019 Gansu-Jiangsu Cultural Exchange Tour] 🎉 Day 5 🎉

First time experiencing the ‘Green Leather train’! We took the 10 hours overnight train ride from Wuwei city and arrived in Dunhuang city. Despite the low temperature, we still headed to the 5 stars tourist attract - Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring. Mr. Charles Oon and Mr. Richard Zhang took a helicopter and toured around the 78 km Great Desert. It was a spectacular experience overlooking the desert at such a high altitude.

We visited the renowned “Mogao Caves” in Dunhuang city and got to see the Chinese Buddhist art from the BC centuries to the 14th century. Inside the red tower behind us was a seven-story temple housing a 28 metres tall Buddha statue sculpture from the Tang Dynasty. (Fig 1 & 2). From Figures 3 to 6, there were beautiful Mogao cave paintings and sculptures behind every small door. Many cultural relics were still very well preserved, allowing us viewers to witness these precious treasures!

The “Dunhuang Festival” evening light desert dance show was performed on a chilly night but the dancers were burning with passion and enthusiasm. The revolutionary moving stage allowed the performance to have five different scenes. It’s definitely a ‘must-watch’ performance with the gorgeous lights and plots of the history of Dunhuang city and Silk Road.

We left Gansu on the following night. We would like to thank the Vice Governor of Gansu Provincial People’s Government - Mr Zhang Shizhen (Fig 1/2/3/4 centre and Fig 5 second left) and also Gansu Provincial Wine Bureau Director - Mr Chen Pu (Fig 6, left) for acknowledging the effort by Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and of course the warm hospitality. Congratulations to the success of “The 9th China Hexi Corridor Organic Wine Festival” once again! Gansu is the place of gems, we believe it will continue to prosper!

We have witnessed the "China Liangzhou Wine Renaissance Promotion Inaugural Meeting", Gansu Huangtai Liquor launched Huangtai wine and baijiu (white spirit). Thanks to Mr. Zhao Haifeng - the Chairman of Huangtai Liquor for inviting us to attend the event. People in China says “There is Moutai in the South and Huangtai in the North”, this time we saw the distinctive branding of Huangtai Liquor. We would also like to thank the Sales Director of Huangtai Liquor - Mr. Bai Liqun (Fig 4, left) for introducing the history of Huangtai Liquor in detail so that we can have a better understanding of it. Not to mention that Huangtai Liquor was once awarded the Panama Gold Award too!

We made a valuable visit to the headquarter of Huangtai Liquor and the Sales Director - Mr Bai Liqun (Fig 1, right) patiently explained the history of Huangtai Liquor, the baijiu making process and the baijiu storage tips. We were really grateful by their gracious hospitality. Our team from Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd wished prosperity to Huangtai Liquor! We will not hesitate to help to promote Huangtai Liquor when they are doing such a good marketing job!

In 1994, Huangtai Liquor was awarded the 2nd Panama Special Gold Award for “Liangzhou Huangtai Liquor”. The "42 degrees 窖底原浆12皇台酒" won the gold medal in the 2019 Belgium International Spirits Competition (Fig 3). We . The one thing that is closely related to China baijiu would be the bottle. A good China baijiu needs to be preserved in fine and sturdy pottery. Thanks to Mr. Man from Pukang Group for taking us to visit the ceramic processing factory in Wuwei city. An exquisite bottle is able to give personality to the China baijiu

What an eye-opener! Mr. Man and Mr. Wang from Pukang Group invited our Managing Director, Mr. Charles Oon and our team to visit the ”Pukang Liquor Cultural Museum”. The basement keeps a lot of premium liquor and authentic potteries from Xixia to Qing dynasties! The first and second floors are the tasting halls for China baijiu and tea respectively. Being in the same industry, we should learn from it how to better preserve and promote China’s beautiful culture. Once again, thank you Pukang Group for your gracious hospitality.

We attended the grand opening ceremony of “The 9th China Hexi Corridor Organic Wine Festival”. The exhibited China red wines in the hall were as much as though you were in a flower dome with so many different varieties. The Vice Governor of Gansu Provincial People’s Government - Mr Zhang Shizhen (Fig 3, centre) also went down to support the event. We would like to thank the main organizer once again for inviting our team to attend “The 9th China Hexi Corridor Organic Wine Festival” in Wuwei city, Gansu province.

China baijiu (white spirit) was also featured during “The 9th China Hexi Corridor Organic Wine Festival” too! We would like to wish Gansu Huangtai Liquor, Gansu Pu Kang and Wu Gu Chuanqi all the best in their businesses.

Rise and shine! We went to visit one of Lanzhou’s most famous attractions “Zhongshan Bridge” - it was the first bridge that was built in 1909 across the Yellow River. After this, we got to try the well-known Lanzhou beef noodle at ‘Anboer Restaurant’. According to the locals, they have to eat Lanzhou beef noodles almost every day!

Later in the evening, we arrived at Wuwei city and attended “The 9th China Hexi Corridor Organic Wine Festival”. Wine experts from all over the world came for this event to taste the wine produced in this region. Our Managing Director, Mr. Charles Oon received a warm welcome and gracious hospitality from Vice Governor of Gansu Provincial People’s Government - Mr Zhang Shizhen (Fig 1 centre and Fig 2 right) and Gansu Provincial Wine Bureau Directors - Director Chen (Fig 2, second left) and Director Shen (Fig 3, second left).

From Singapore to transit in Guangzhou and later landed at Lanzhou Airport at night. Right after the team had touched down, we were warmly welcomed by Director Chen of Gansu Provincial Wine Management Bureau. It was our first time trying halal mutton dishes (Asia Restaurant) and we paired it with China baijiu at the dinner, all of us had a great time! Mr. Zhang later brought us to the local “Zhengning Street Night Market” and concluded the day.
