A huge thank you to Mr Lin Guan Hao, the President of Singapore Xiangqi Association for inviting us with our Managing Director, Mr Charles Oon to have a farewell dinner with the xiangqi grandmaster, Mr Yan Mujiang last Saturday. Mr Yan’s trip to Singapore this time had contributed a lot to our Chinese xiangqi culture as he enthusiastically coached our young players, held talks and also organised xiangqi training classes. Mr Yan Mujiang is famous for his “smooth and delicate yet strict flow”. In 1990, he won the award of "Top Ten Coaches of Jiangsu Province" and “National Sportsmen Honor Medal” in the 6th National Competition. Mr Yan gifted us <Shi Dao Qi Feng> and a paper fan that was written by Mr Nie Weiping, the Deputy Director of China Weiqi Association. We would also like to thank Mr Lin Guan Hao for bringing Chinese culture together with China baijiu (white spirits) and our local Chinese chess.

We were fortunate to have a lovely dinner with the chess grandmaster, Mr Yan Mujiang from Nanjing last night. Mr Yan Mujiang was invited by Singapore and was once served as the coach of our National Chess Team. With the interest and knowledge of baijiu (white spirits) culture, the President of Singapore Chess Association Mr Lin Guan Hao brought us up together to talk about China’s culture of chess and baijiu (white spirits).

Shortly after the earthquake, Sichuan Yibin Wuliangye Group immediately dispatched a rescue team to Yibin Changning to assist in the rescue. The earthquake did not affect Wuliangye Group, and its production operations are still running as per normal.

At 11pm last night, an earthquake with a magnitude 6.0 occurred in Changning, Yibin City in Sichuan Province. Unfortunately, 6 people were killed and 76 people were injured and the final count was still in progress. There were also several landslides on the road and the relevant units have started the rescue early in the morning. The Sichuan Provincial Emergency Management Department has allocated resources to the emergency organizations in the affected areas. Let us all pray for the residents in the disaster areas. The 3rd annual [When China Baijiu meets Rice Dumpling] 2019 event had successfully ended! The three baijiu teams all did very well. Before the event, we had invited the professional chef to demonstrate on how to wrap a rice dumpling. I’m sure everyone became better at wrapping rice dumpling after this event.

The base camp of the Miao, which is also the largest Miao village in the country - Xijiang Qianmiao Village. It is one of the most scenic spots in Guizhou, with the strong cultural atmosphere.

Departed from Moutai International Hotel, we went to visit Guizhou Moutai Packaging Factory. As everyone knows, the packaging of the classic flying fairies Moutai bottles came from here. Every process and detail are carefully handled. Due to the strict restrictions at the factory, our team couldn’t take too many photos. If you are interested, you should pay a visit!China’s Alcohol Cultural City. With more than 5000 years, China has a rich history in alcohol and our team also got to understand more about the development of Moutai over the years.

A must-try meal in Guizhou: Sour fish soup. At the same time, we got to watch the local performances and learnt about the local customs and cultures.
Our team was welcomed by the representative of the local government officials, the Deputy Minister of the United Front Department, and the Vice Minister of the Guizhou Foreign Affairs Association - Vice Minister Wang Maoai (in the middle of Figure 3). We have definitely benefited from the cultural exchanges!
Wuliangye Variety Night
Yet another Wuliangye’s night. Our collaboration with Club Jade this year ran very smoothly. We would like to thank everyone for their support for making this glamorous night possible.
The live performances on that night received a lot of praises and compliments. The audiences and participants had a lot of fun during the games and activities segments.
The main event for the night had to be “The Peony Dance”. This dance was specially choreographed for Wuliangye’s night and thanks to all the dancers, the performance was impressive!
We would like to thank everyone for their support and effort in this event. It was a huge success!
Moutai Cultural Tour Day 1
Upon arrival in Moutai Town, our team was welcomed warmly by the China Moutai team and got to stay at the Moutai International five-star hotel built with a total cost of 400 million yuan. The night view of Moutai Town was stunning. Our Moutai fans, Mr Ma has also specially presented his new published books to our friends in China Moutai.
