Welcome Mr. Jiang Wei Jie, who is known as the youngest world champion for China's Weiqi

Let us warmly welcome Mr. Jiang Wei Jie, who is known as the youngest world champion for China's Weiqi to come to Singapore! He is also among the Top 4 when it comes to national Weiqi’s strength ranking. Singapore Weiqi Association President, Mr. Chen Ding Chuan and Vice President, Mr. Li Xin Qiang were also present for the lunch gathering. We have benefited a lot from this lunch gathering and have a deeper understanding of Weiqi. We hope to have a major breakthrough for next year’s Weiqi Competition!We would like to thank President Chen for gifting us the “He Shan Yi Ju Qi” that was written by the legendary Mr. Wu Qing Yuan. We have even gotten an autographed bottle of Moutai from Mr. Jiang Wei Jie.

This is the first time for us to witness how the younger generation respect the Chinese Traditional Culture at Singapore events. We were very pleased, and we do hope that there will be more cooperation opportunities in the future to continue spreading the importance of Chinese culture.

The first Annual ‘Baijiu Cup’ Weiqi Fun Congress and the second Singapore University League

The first Annual ‘Baijiu Cup’ Weiqi Fun Congress and the second Singapore University League were successfully completed at the Singapore University of Technology and Design yesterday (21 October 2018). The Chairman of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd – Mr. Charles Oon, the sole sponsor of the competition was invited to award the winners of the Open Group Category. We were also very fortunate to meet Mr. Yang Jin Hua, the head coach of Singapore Weiqi Association as well as the youngest professional Weiqi champion from China with 9 dan - Jiang Wei Jie.

For this time round, the Open Category and the Singapore University League were held together, attracting more than 80 contestants. Weiqi fans and lovers egardless of age, gender or even race. The Chinese culture has spread all over the world and influenced many. Look at how focus they were when they were playing, we couldn’t help but snap a few photos!

The first Annual ‘Baijiu Cup’ Weiqi Fun Congress, titled and sponsored by Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd, will be held on this Sunday (21st oct 2018) at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). The competition was co-organized by SUTD and Singapore Weiqi Association, bringing along a fun and interesting competition environment.

On the last day of this Business training, they brought everyone to the Luzhou Laojiao Industrial Park. Everyone took a tour around the place, understand the whole structure of the factory. It was very spectacular! During the second phase of the Overseas Business Training in Luzhou Laojiao, not only are lectures given by the teachers, but there’s also a sharing on the marketing by excellent overseas distributors. Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd is honored to be selected as the representative distributor to do the sharing and was complimented as the role model for learning. Whether it is a series of event promotions, customer service feedback or professional media advertisement, we are recognized and praised. We will continue to work hard! For this Business Training Meeting, our representative from Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd - June, took this opportunity to learn from one another in this friendly and united environment. Other than classroom learning, everyone has the opportunity to experience a Baijiu DIY Course. The teacher is very charismatic, and he is a National Second-class Baijiu Tasting Master (fig 5).

The second Luzhou Laojiao training session for overseas distributors is currently in progress. It is an honour to work with Chief Xu (Fig 2) and General Manager Zhao (Fig 4) as well as meeting up with the other 25 distributors from more than 10 different regions and countries, learning together and improving together.

Congratulations to Xie Lao Song for their successful 4th Crayfish Festival! Yesterday (14 October 2018) was a happy and satisfying day. In addition to the unlimited access of Mala Crayfish, two of Xie Lao Song’s signature dishes - Spicy Crabs and Peking Roasted Duck are also free to eat! Other than eating, you can also play games and win prizes. This is awesome, rooting for Xie Lao Song!

We are glad that the Singapore Xiangqi Association decided to pay us a visit

We are glad that the Singapore Xiangqi Association (President Mr. Lin Guan Hao, Vice President Mr. Ou Mu Shun and Deputy Secretary-General Chen Tian Yuan) decided to pay us a visit. Through this visit, we crafted out a clearer outline for next year’s Second Wuliangye Xiangqi Competition!
There is also a poem written personally, by President Lin Guan Hao:

Qing Chun Zuo Ban Hao Huan Xiang"

We are extremely grateful to Singapore Xiangqi Association for gifting us this precious set of Xiangqi. The special feature of this set of Xiangqi is: This is an imitation of Qianlong glazed red chess, it is improvised by Henan Rongyang Cultural Relics Protection Management Center. The text printed on is Xiao Xu font, also known as Qin Xu.

In exchanging favors, we hosted a banquet at the Blossom Restaurant located inside Marina Bay Sands Hotel and invited our guests from Singapore Xiangqi Association. We also invited Mr. Chan Soo Sen, the former Senior Minister of State to join us on this special occasion. Meanwhile, Mr. Chan made a great suggestion - he is willing to donate a trophy in preparation for the second Xiangqi competition, which will be held together with next year’s Racial Harmony Day. It will be a meaningful, extraordinary and wonderful experience!

Ceremony dinner of the 36th Board of Directors of the Singapore Xiangqi Association

During the inauguration ceremony dinner of the 36th Board of Directors of the Singapore Xiangqi Association, not only did Mr. Charles Oon met his friend of many years, the former Senior Minister of State - Mr. Chan Soo Seng, he also met the chess players of our first 2018 Lion City Wuliangye Chinese Chess Competition. We have also specially prepared the beloved Wuliangye to celebrate this wonderful occasion. The Wuliangye are so popular that, just shortly after the celebration dinner had started, the bottles are emptied.

We are glad to meet the Vice President of the Singapore Xiangqi Association: Mr. Ou Mu Shun. The connection that we had developed from our first Wuliangye Chinese Chess Xiangqi Competition has continued till this day, we believe that we will have more collaborations in the future. Let’s all look forward to it!

Da Long Yi Hot Pot that made the world fall in love with Chengdu’s taste had officially opened last Saturday~ The Dragon and Lion Dance performance was magnificent and attracted many eyes from the passers-bys. Da Long Yi Hot Pot even invited the famous Mediacorp Artist - Shaun Chen to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the atmosphere is filled with excitement and energy. Needless to say, Hot Pot and Baijiu is indispensable; take a bite from the hot pot and take a sip of baijiu, have you tried before? Once again, congratulations to Da Long Yi Hot Pot for its grand opening. May the business bloom with profits rolling in!

Everyone knows that eating mooncakes is part of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, but do you know that Yuzu also plays an important part in Mid-Autumn Festival? After you finish eating the yuzu, you can even use its skin to make a round and large yuzu skin lantern. How many creative yuzu lanterns have you attempted?

There’s this saying that goes: One minute on stage is equivalent to ten years worth of practice behind the scene. In order to make yuzu lanterns for the show, everyone did spend the effort 💪💪💪

We would like to thank the 2 students from National University of Singapore’s Xiang Sheng (Crosstalk) Society (fig 3) for bringing us this refreshing crosstalk performance. Other than that, we also have another 5 singers who sang songs with their wonderful vocals. These performances added finishing touches to the dinner, which made the dinner much more interesting.
